What happened to customer service?

On January 24, 2013 I received a call from Telkom to confirm my installation for the 31st. I could not believe the call to verify, neither the sms received a few minutes later confirming the appointment and installation, but alas this was offcourse not the service going forward.

On January 30, 2013 I just received a sms, now reading, my installation is confirmed for February 5, 2013. After I had made all the necessary arrangements. I contacted them (the online service was off course not working, and at this point of time, still not) at 8 a.m. I received a reference number and a promise that someone will be in contact with me within 3 hours. Off course that did not happen, so I phone again after 3 hours. Nothing. The fake promise off it will be escalated, a new reference number and apologies that it is not 3 hours, but 4. But, this time someone will phone, which off course did not happen. So I phone again. Nothing. On the January 31, I submitted an email and then phoned in again. Another reference and now the time frame for someone to "call me back" has escalated to 5 hours. The 5 hours went by and yes, you guessed it, no phone call.

Unacceptable service. shame you have no choic
