Shouldn't MTN service be the same the whole country over? on sunday 17th Nov i experienced "No Service" network issue, i called MTN 808 number on monday, the lady asked me to remove my battery (after telling her it is an iPhone 5) and sim for 5 mins. If that doesn't work i must take the phone to a MTN shop. After waiting for approximately 1hour and 20 minutes i was told i have to hand in the phone for a warranty assessment which would not work at the time because i did not have everything that the phone came with. i had to drive back home and get the accessories and had to wait for another hour again to be assisted on the same matter. After finally booking in the phone i was told i would be called back for collection of a new phone. Today is monday the 25th of Nov, after calling to find out about the progress on the phone, i was told to collect the new phone at the MTN shop at Mimosa Mall Bloemfontein. Again after waiting for 45minutes i was told that the "This MTN Shop cannot give me a new phone, i must get it from MTN direct as i got online".
This is unacceptable service from a reputable service provider like MTN. i must stay phoneless until they sort out their inhouse rules.
