I am extremely frustated with the poor service that this centre gives - in September my Sony Xperia Go (6mths old) crashed and took it to Vodacom Repairs Cresta for repairs. The LCD screen was repaired and I was told it was a manufacturing fault. The days following, I noticed that the phone had more software problems than before the crash and informed them of it immediately. Bongani (technitian) asked me to bring the phone back, however I was about to leave for a business trip and couldn't find my way there. 5 weeks later I take it in to review the problem and was told they couldn't update the software and therefor need to send it to the Advance Centre for evaluation. After numerous frustrating phone calls to this centre from myself, I receive an sms stating that the Quotation for the repairs will be R1261.17 - no explanation!? Now their tune has all of a sudden changed to 'faulty device due to dropmarks' but 5 weeks ago this device had manufacturing faults! Clearly, Consumer Act, doesn't really mean anything to them as they don't feel the need to personally communicate and explain anything to myself as the consumer! Is this the type of service we have to accept these days??
