IPhone 5S delivery status unknown

I ordered the iPhone 5S 64 online. From what it seems like on the phone everything was processed. So I called to find out what is the status on these. with the lady saying that I can expect delivery when the handsets are delivered, but this is a very generic answer as everyone can expect delivery when the handsets are delivered, apart from the obvious 'when' I would like to know what is the status on my handset. I hate being kept in the dark. I can't keep calling, being transferred, waiting, just to reach a dead end. Surely someone can help me and tell me what is the status on my iPhone delivery right?
