Busted battery - phone less than 5 months old!

Good day,

About 4 months ago, I took my BB Pearl 9105 to MTN Montague Gardens to have it repaired. The repair charge was R1100, which I accepted, as I really did not want to lose the phone. They gave me a brand new phone, with new plastics and everything. I was extremely happy about this, especially since I had paid so much for the repairs.

About 2 months after, I noticed that the battery would reach about 25% and would then just die without any warning. It's now gotten to the point where it switches off after the battery drops to 80%. After I do a battery flip, it switches on but then only stays on for a few minutes and then switches off again. When I plug in the charger, the phone reboots and charges from the beginning as if the battery was completely drained, and then shows full in less than an hour. I have recently noticed that the battery has started swelling, which I have read is extremely dangerous!!

I have tried sourcing a new battery but was told that this will be virtually impossible as the phone is discontinued. I am aware that according to the contract it is out of warranty, but the actual phone is less than 5 months old. Can you please assist me??
