I had contacted Cell C on the 04/10/13 @ 09.46am to cancel my contract. I had spoken to a consultant namely Nomvulo Tupe whom had confirmed the cancellation with ref#1310040000013181.On the 11/10/13 @ 19.12pm I received a sms from Cell C thanking me for an upgrade that I had taken out. On the 14/10/13 I then contacted Cell C and spoke to Jarod Govindsamy whom is the retentions supervisor. I had informed him that I did not contact Cell C and request an upgrade. He requested that I send him a copy of my ID document. After investigating he advised me that an upgrade was taken on my name and the handset has already been delivered in Pinetown. He also advised that the ID copy that was taken from her by RAM Couriers was not the same as mine as the photos did not match. I immediately requested that he flag this and cancel my contract. I received a phone call from Vodacom last week to confirm my application for a cell phone contract, later that day from MTN for a laptop. The SOUTH AFRICAN PREVENTION SERVICES requires a letter from Cell C in order to block my ID however they are refusing to assist. This is a matter of urgency as accounts are being opened on my name!!!
