I moved into a town house 5 moths ago (July 2013) in the Montana area in Pretoria. All was well except for the poor network reception on my MTN cellphone. As a loyal, long-term serving customer, i called the network to explain the situation: 1. The signal was poor- making/receiving calls is difficult.
2. Calls get cut off during conversations.
3. Cannot connect to the internet, let alone access social networks (Twitter/Facebook).
4. Cannot send messages.

I spoke with a consultant at the MTN network dept., they said (3 months ago-Aug 2013) the problem was caused by a Tower that is not functioning closer to our area. They said they were aware of the challenge and that technicians were working on it, the problem will be sorted out soon. It has been 5 months and we (MTN subscribers) still have to drive to an area with good reception, to make calls, send messages or even access the internet in any of our devices. As paying, loyal customers of MTN, we feel robbed of our convenience, money, good service and quality. This cannot go on forever!!
