I have lodged many complaints about Cell-C's cellphone reception at my home over the past two years without ANYTHING being done by Cell-C to improve the situation, despite assurances that reception would be improved by the instalation of an additional repeater and numerous visits by technicians to measure signal strength (which they acknowledge to be poor). As I live in a residential area about 1.8 km from George's CBD, there should be no reason for this problem in the first instance. Both Vodacom and MTN networks perform adequately in the area: Cell-C's network is frustratingly deficient.

Now I just want to terminate my 24 month contract and get as far away from Cell-C as possible. I have been a Cell-C customer since their inception in 2002 but now I'm tired of paying for a system that simply does not function properly. I'm tired of a company that does NOT have a tangible solution.

My contract expires on 24th July 2013. I want to know how to terminate it before then. Do I approach the Consumer Council. Do I approach ICASA.

I have already terminated my Cell-C internet contract which was also of poor quality. My new internet provider, MTN, is 100%.
