I have 3 mobile 10gig Internet contracts with Telkom Mobile with a monthly bill of R699. In September Telkom debited R1655 off my account. When inquiring about this amount I was told that one of my contracts went out of bundle. However this would require the user to choose such an option after being prompted. This never happened. I lodged a complaint with Pat at Telkom Direkt in Marshaltown, JHB who requested an investigation. Weeks passed with no feedback. In October Telkom tried to debit R2022.18 from my account. The debit order bounced due to insufficient funds in the account. Without any notification the account was handed over to NuDebt within 2 weeks and NuDebt went into my account and debited R1550 without notice, nor having requested any permission to do so. Subsequently Telkom suspended my account without notice. I have been without Internet for the past 2 weeks and no one is helping me. I even paid an additional R1329.82 so that I could get reconnected. My connection is still down. I feel robbed and feel that my consumer rights have been violated. I am appalled by the manner in which this company deals with its customers.
