I upgraded my contract about 7 months ago. The consultant helping me gave me documents to sign and so I did. She didn't explain the contract with me and so the first time I do an upgrade I was under the impression my Samsung galaxy S4 was covered for short term insurance because from my own knowledge I understood it was covered. Never once she mentioned to me that I have to take out additional insurance to cover the phone. Yesterday I was robbed and this morning I went to Vodacom Hout Bay and they told me sorry I am not covered. Who told me to take out additional insurance at the time we upgraded the contract? How do I know that its not covered. According to my knowledge and understanding of the contract I was covered. I spoke to the manager this morning and he was extremely impatient with me and to rate that level of service its terrible. He should go for a customer relations training. He told me he cant assist me because the consultant that have helped me doesn't work there anymore. According to the consumer protection act I have some rights. I have been a vodacom customer since I got my fist phone but this level of service is unacceptable.
