I went to buy a phone on contract in Sunninghill on the 17th of August 2013. The contract I signed up for was the R500 airtime contract and 500 mb data per month. The salesman told me that once the 500 mb data bundles which come with the contract have been used up I will be charged on an on going basis for the data bundles I will use and be billed at the end of the month. He failed to advise me of the cost of each additional megabyte was R2 per mb and ALSO did not advise me of the data bundle option where I could purchase additional bundles after my 500 mb have been used up at a much lower cost than the R2 per mb they charge on contract. I have now been billed R4000 for the month of November by MTN because of a failure of their staff members to provide me with helpful information that would have given me value for, money especially when using the internet. I see this as a deliberate way of over charging customers and MTN getting more money from us in return. I am highly outraged and disgusted by MTN.
