Disgusting call centre service and general service

I have spent, over the last 4 days, over 5 hours holding on the line to get through to the call centre.
All because I need to get my land line moved from one address to another. And this cant, unfortunately, be requested at a branch.
I sent an email through for this to be done on the 30.10.2013. And someone needed to call my fiance to confirm all the details, as the account is in his name. 2 days later and nothing has happened. I called AGAIN to find out if my mail has been received, and nothing could be confirmed, I was only told that a request has been sent, and that something can only be done in 7-10 working days. UNACCEPTABLE
People cannot give reference numbers for calls, which I find unbelievable as there is then no 'real' record that I ever contacted the call centre.
We use that land line for work purposes. And we are now being told that we must lose business for 2 weeks.
Something needs to be done as this lever of service is disgusting.
I want someone to contact myself or my fiance to let us know what is happeneing. And I want, yes WANT this matter sorted. And not in 7-10 business days.
