The most terrible service

Telecommunications

On the 18th of December, I requested an upgrade of my contract to the new iPhone 5. The person that took the upgrade request said I did not need a new sim card as I already had the micro sim card.
After chatting to some friends, I found out that I needed a nano sim card. I phoned a week later to confirm that I would receive a new sim card with my new phone and was told that it did not matter as sim cards were automatically sent out with the new phone.
Yesterday I received my phone, with no sim card.
When I phoned, I was told that either I had to wait or I could go into the nearest store and get a new sim card.
I chose to go into store. I received my new sim card (one that was cut from a larger sim card) and the process of RICA happened and my sim card was switched.
My phone never worked.
I phoned this morning, only to be told (after an hour of holding on the telephone) that I had to go back into a store or wait for 2 - 7 days to get a new sim car as the cut ones do not work in the iPhone 5.
After doing everything right, I have no phone, no means of my family contacting me and yet no assistance from the service provider that stuffed everything up.
