STOP SPAMMING ME

Yesterday, after deciding that I am sick of all the spam that I receive on my cell phone, I went to my local Cell C store and asked the salesman to REMOVE all permission that Cell C has to send advertisements to me. He did so.

Coincidentally, at the same time I transferred my contract to a prepaid account and immediately got a call from head office to ask me why I am cancelling my contract.

Today, I got a call from the SAME NUMBER. I answered with a greeting and my name, after which the caller hung up, and I immediately received an SMS advertising a Cell C product.

Now I have a couple of questions:
Are you, Cell C, aware that it is illegal to send advertisements to a consumer that has not given you permission to do so?
Are you using "cold calling" tactics to confirm the identity of people who have attempted to opt out of your advertising?
Do you want to keep me as a customer or do you want to lose me (and eventually many others) to another service provider that actually respects my legal rights?
