I was advised by an in-store technician at a Telkom store to purchase a router to extend my wi-fi coverage. he advised me tocall the 10210 number for assistance with installation. I duly called the centre, and alas! noone knows how to do it. More than 7 calls and a month later, i'm still sitting with a product that i am not using. worse case, after my 3rd call, i was contacted by a QA agent, asking about my customer experience. i did inform him that i was less than impressed, and he promised that a technician will contact me to solve the problem. i waited for a week, but nobody called me. i called the centre a few more times after that, with some of the agents honestly telling me that they were not trained on the product. i was once more promised that i would be called back by someone knowledgeable. that didnt happen. i called again just now, and the agent informed me that that product is not supported, and i would have to contact a private installer to assist me. Why would Telkom sell a product they do not support? isnt this false marketing?
Why would Telkom agents to me and tell me they will come back to me and then not do that?
