MTN Phone Insurance is RUBISH stay away from it

I lost my phone on the 19th October 2013 and on the 21st I reported lost and blacklisted the device. I then went to MTN in Rivonia with my case number and completed claim form only to be told that the I will not receive the phone on the day. so I went to MTN Green Stone to get help as I needed a phone urgently for work purposes, Lebohang working at the branch called the 083 123 6084 number to process the claim. The phone rang for over an hour at which point I was doing my work in the branch while we waited for call centre to answer. I eventually left and asked her to call me on my wife's phone when they answered. After 4 hours she called me to say she going home and they still had not answered the call.

Her colleagues also tried to help me but no one could get through. It is such a pity that MTN leaves its staff helpless to serve its subscribers at the branches. In the 15 years I've been a loyal MTN subscriber I certainly did not expect to received such shocking service, and disregard for my needs. You would think with so much competition from other service providers and money spent advertising slots that MTN would look after its most effective marketing tool... word of mouth
