How MTN wrips you off for Data - Very Expensive

I have been an MTN customer for about 10 to 11 years. I have never realised how much MTN wrips its customers off over data and call charges. I used to have a BlackBerry with BIS, so I paid a monthly fee for BIS and that was that. Now I have moved over to an iPhone, as BlackBerry seems to have hit the dumps. I have been wacked for huge data costs since, increasing my cellular costs by almost R2000 every month since using the iPhone.
I just want to break down what I have spent with my last bill:
MTN Data Usage: 848869376 bytes - from MTN's website, I copied this number in.
For that amount I have to pay R1279.30 Excl of Vat. With Vat = R1458.40.
I am going to use VAT Incl, to show you how much they wrip you off. Because I dont get to claim VAT back.
There are 1048576 bytes in a Megabyte, so 848869376 divided by 1048576 = 809.55 Megabytes (Not even a Gig of Data)
I have to pay R1458.40 for less than a Gigs worth of data.
Now you will see deals where you can get 3 Gigs of data for R199 to around R300. FOR 3 Gigs.
So basically, if you don't get a data plan, you are going to be wripped off by MTN. They won't inform you of your high data usage as that is where they like to us.
