Unfair "fair-usage" and poor reception & data

I have an MTN pay-as-you-go sim. I live in a small town in the Eastern Free State. I constantly have problems with MTN dropping the signal, I struggle to do internet banking because the One-Time-Passwords can't get through! And to add insult to injury, the data speeds are horrifically slow on my phone. I used to use an MTN data stick on my computer, but had to purchase a new data stick from Vodacom - as the data is so painfully slow on MTN. My phone is still on MTN, I can't even load my basic emails on my phone! It takes 10 minutes to download one email! I know they've started this "fair usage" policy, but it's unfair - I buy a gig at a time - I can now hardly use it - the data speeds are sooo slow. MTN: don't offer data if you can't offer speed. The other cell companies are doing a great job. I NEVER have a problem with my Vodacom data stick - it is fast and such a pleasure.

My partner uses Cell-C - which uses Vodacom broadband in this area. His internet is always fast and wonderful! If I don't hear back from MTN, I am porting to Cell-C, and I suggest others who have this problem do so too. MTN will only learn when we leave. I've been with MTN for 13 years!
