MTN not providing a service

On 11 Nov 2013 I applied for a new contract that was approved immediately and was issued with a new phone. A sim swap was required as the new phone use a micro sim. I was told the sim swap will be done within 2 - 24 hrs. It is now five days (120 Hours) later and the sim swap has not been completed and and I have been without a phone for five days. I spoke to Monde at the Centurion branch continuously to resolve the issue and she keeps on blaming head office for the failure to complete the sim swap instead of taking ownership for the issue. She also keeps on promising to get back to me with feedback which I never get.

This is the worst service I have ever received from an MTN dealership!!

I have also tried to contact the MTN customer service on 808 but the only option I receive is to block a phone so I can't even log this issue centrally to get a ref number to follow up on. What is going on MTN? This is ridiculous!

I'm now sitting with a useless phone which is nearing the seven days swap out guarantee without me even using it.

Maybe I should just return the phone and tell MTN to stuff their business because they stuff their customers.
