Cellphone Contract

I applied yesterday for a Cellphone contract at Cellc and the sales consultant told me that i don't qualify for a Cellphone contract because the system said no credit history found.

So she suggest that I must open new account at any other store to build up my credit histroy and after 2 months I must came back for a cellphone contract.

But my question is why can't Cellc assist me with a cellphone contract then I can also build up a credit history, i have a stable job with a good income? Why must I first go to another store and then came back to you for a cellphone contract it doesn't make sense?
