We got a Sony XperiaV contract phone around mid/end August. On Sept 28 we took it to the Vodacom Sandton repair centre-Job 9236968. Since then we get continuous sms advising that the phone is either being repaired, being assessed or sent to the Advance Repair. When calling customer services we are told that the phone was actually sent to the supplier as Vodacom could not repair it. Obviously, no one at Vodacom knows or cares what is being done or lack records to follow up. Over two weeks to deal with a repair? This is a new phone with a major fault: it turns off on its own unless connected to the computer (i.e: used as a land line). How difficult is it to evaluate its condition?
Very poor service, when you cannot repair or cannot advise the customer the status. Too large a company to really care for its customers. That is my impression.
