Outrageous Overcharging

I have just returned from the USA to discover that my data roaming charges are tantamount to about R110-00 per MB. I can only say that I am staggered. Most on my time was spent roaming on the AT and T network who charge their local clients about $.30c per MB, only R3-00 rand per MB. This charge to the SA consumer is tantamount to gouging and daylight and I am absolutely not going to pay this charge. This cannot be justified on any basis with any amount of spin it is simply greed on behalf of Vodacom who are dipping their hands deeply in the pockets of SA consumers who are always the cash cow for companies such as this. It is disgusting and reeks of greed.

I will be submitting a formal complaint to ICASA, The Public Protector as well as The Consumer Commission and the Consumer watch dog in the UK where Vodaphone the parent company has its head-office. In addition I will use every forum available to me let the public know what kind of company Vodacom is.
