SMS - Bigmobile / R10/day

I am on the MTN network and received a sms mentioning that someone shared pics of me and that if I click on the link I can view the pics. So I did and after being directed to a mobile site i immediately closed the site. Seconds after i received an sms welcoming me to "CloudyAlerts'Bigmobile. Yr" and states that the cost is R10/day.

I send stop to 43839 and called 087 550 2269 to stop this.

I just find it because I was never given the option to apply or to agree or disagree to subscription. is this legal?

It will probably cost me R10 now, but what if it was someone (like a child) who didn't know the implication of clicking on the link.

very scary, and a in my opinion. This should be stopped or addressed asap.
