This is the 2nd time I am complaining about this. I decided to wait till my account comes to an end on the 4th of October before trying to upgrade or cancel. So I went to Bellville branch on the 4th of October and was told by Devina that I can upgrade, but only from the 5th of October. I then went to Canal Walk on the 5th to try and upgrade, but was told by Kim that I cannot upgrade as there's still a glitch in the system. When I explained that I was told the opposite just the day before by Devina, Kim tells me that in that case I am more than welcome to go to Devina and upgrade it with her as she is unable to help me. If I cancel I lose my number, if I take out a different contract I also lose my number... either way I don't win. I also need to give a month's notice in order to cancel a contract that already expired on the 4th, but in doing so I lose my airtime and number. This is so frustrating. Its not as if Telkom did not know 2 years ago, that some time in the future people are going to want to upgrade and have this issue sorted out before hand. I am so over this and wish I can just take my number to another service provider.
