Charged without proof

I was emailed my account - which was more than double what it usually is. Namely due to data usage. I immediately requested proof hereof as I wanted to know what sites were visited and what was downloaded. At first I was told I would be charged a once-off fee for an itemized bill (which by the way I ALREADY RECEIVE but it tells me nothing..), then I was told it was because I didn't have a data bundle - WHICH I HAVE NEVER HAD YET THIS HAS NEVER AFFECTED MY BILL TO THIS EXTENT, and after numerous requests for further proof, I have been met with deaf ears. BUT MY BANK ACCOUNT WAS DEBITED FOR THE FULL OUTSTANDING AMOUNT!!! All I want is proof. I was off during this high bill rate as I'd had an operation and hardly used my phone - I used our IPAD at home which uses WIFI. This makes it even more strange to me.
MTN now just point blank refuses to answer me anymore, but they have robbed me for the full amount that I was invoiced - even though according to me, this matter has still not been sorted.
