I complained to Vodacom about the bad signal I get where I live and work which is in the same area. I recently got a new contract with them, I explained that I have barely any signal, never get signal above the basic slowest of slow. It takes hours and hours to download a simple app where in town it takes minutes, this eats my data which we pay a small fortune for. The first response I got back from them was how I'm to far from their tower and not really anything they can do but suggested I phone this other company who has some device which boosts signal, I was quoted R1650-00 which I now must pay out my own pocket. I emailed Vodacom yet again asking them if this was the best solution they could offer as it really wasn't good enough, I was contacted again and told of another company who were a lot cheaper, they have this device although cheaper your phone has to be next to or on anytime you need to make a call or access the Internet, or I could install a antenna of some sort which is over R600, yet again I must pay... I'm now stuck with a phone I can hardly enjoy and signal I can't rely on. To even think about cancelling this contract is a nightmare because of the cost
