For the past 2 and a half months I have been in a head-on conflict with Cell C about my unstable data connection. Have a look at my previous complaints about Cell C.

Today, for the first time I actually spoke to a competent person, Thapelo at the escalations department. Unfortunately, Thapelo is the only person in the massive corporate who actually knows what he's doing. He was instructed by his superiors that they cannot meet my refund request. Unfortunately his superiors refuse to take my calls, and they leave him to do the dirty work.

I would like to praise Thapelo for his good work, even though he had no power to make decisions and was doing his job. I would then like to urge his superiors to train their staff better, take customer calls and put themselves in the shoes of the customer.

After 2.5 months of arguing with call centre and escalation agents, Cell C sent a technician to my house to test the connection. They found it to be in working order today, even though the technician admits that they have had serious issues in my area. Cell C is now refusing my refund because "they have fixed the problem". According to the CPA, this is not enough. Cell C should reconsider.
