Useless at reconnecting

My data contract with 8ta has recently been disconnected due to it being in arrears. I have however paid up the arrears as well as 8ta deducting a further amount from my account, meaning they owe me money now. I have been trying for more than a week to get my sim-card reactivated, and nobody there seems to be able to do that. After speaking to a number of people and sending proof of payments and bank statement to prove that payment has been made my line is still not active. There excuses are, "WE WILL SEND AN EMAIL, YOUR CASE IS BEING ATTENDED TO, WE WILL HAVE YOU UP AND RUNNING IN FIVE HOURS". Don't even try and work with one person cause when you try phone that person they suddenly not available or leave a message and they will call you back which never happens. Somewhere somebody or department is absolutely useless and I am still not able to get assistance.
