Current usage

Checked my current usage yesterday morning on my cell c account and was shocked, the current usage is sitting at R398 when I called the accounts department they said it was Internet usage, how could I have used R398 on the Internet when my iPhone 5 does not allow me to download anything? All I do is view Facebook. This is ridiculous and demand my account be checked before I am debited for this usage.
