Promotional Data Price Doubled Over Night!

Dear Vodacom,

Your recent Promotional data rates specifically for the my20GB of R499 was attractive and actually made me cancel my telkom ADSL due to their intermittent service and the bad customer experience. I thought I finally had an alternative. I went ahead and purchased a Vodafone LTE router with a prepaid data card and started to purchase 20GB data bundles at a time. This was working great until you overnight exactly doubles your prices! When I inquired, you had the audacity to tell me you can change how you like and threw the normal rate of R3199 in my face. Like someone would actually buy that in this day! Even though the prices were clearly marked as promotional and I took a risk by assuming that these prices were here to stay, I thought that this was Vodacom's way of matching the competition and that prices were more likely to drop lower than increase. I was never a Vodacom user until recently and was very impressed until you scred (excuse the word) your customers with the sudden doubling of price. I don't see how this is good business practice to double rates irrespective of what you rights are and still call it a promotion.
