I took out 8 ta (Telcom) promo 5 internet contract for data. I was assured that there was coverage at my home address in Duynefontein/Melkbosstrand. Initially the signal was fairly poor quality (30-40%) & intermittent (weekly drop-off). Over the December period there was a 3 day unavailability of signal connection. Since that time the signal has been more off than on. For the last week I have had no signal. Numerous phone calls have resulted in polite sympathetic response and vague references to imminent dispatch of a technician and possible need to have a booster installed. Nothing has transpired and I am billed for the full contractual amount.
(During this time my MTN 3 G card has worked just fine in all devices)
I interpret the responses ("case numbers") from 8 ta as evasive and/or deliberate avoidance of solving the problem and seem to point to incompetence on the part of 8 ta. I would not recommend them
