Additional Damage to phone

Telecommunications

I reported a problem with my phone (BB9790) on 13 Aug which was send to the MTN Repair Centre at Crown Mines. The initial issue was that it automatically switched off at times, and when charging, it showed there is no battery. The Repair Centre's reply was that I had to pay in an amount of R1 182.00, as there were 2 cracks (hairfine) at the top of the phone, which voided the warranty. Seven photos of the 2 small cracks were taken and send to me with their explanation. I requested my phone to be returned as I was not willing to pay the amount..However, when I received my phone on 26 Aug, to my surprise the phone can back in a worse condition! The bottom left hand side of the phone was lifting up, I could actually see the screws. Left hand side of the cover has a crack (not small), the phone now does not lock BUT the worst of all is that the speaker of the phone is now not working! When making or receiving calls, I can't hear anything, however the caller can hear me... MTN Repair Centre is now saying my phone went in in that condition. THIS IS NOT TRUE! Surely if the speaker did not work, I would have asked them to check THAT the 1st time it went in? Hope to hear from someone soon.
