Mweb cut me off my business Adsl 1 week early in June. I spent at least 6 hours troubleshooting the problem as they denied cutting me off 3 times. This included Mweb sending out the Telkom technician and Telkom waking me early Sunday morning to ask if my business was open so that they could troubleshoot my system! My Telkom lines needed to be moved on a specific date and therefore I had given notice. The date asked for was the 28th June.
In the week before my business moved I was therefore burdened with trying to get an internet connection so my business could continue to function. MWeb was apologetic but offered no solution.
They could have offered me some practical compensation such as a Data bundle and a wireless dongle. Those I had to pay for separately to tide me over until after the move.
The manager offered me a week's rebate on my monthly subscription and three months free email subscription as compensation.
Even this has not happened.
I sent a letter to Billing at Mweb after received the bill- no reply, but they cut me off my service for non-payment and charged me a reconnection fee. The manager phoned me and I asked him to email me- he has not.
