MTN internet route

My internet speed is extremely slow, I am using a MTN router, nobody at different MTN shops can help us, I am only able to download at 0.06 Mbps which is way below what we pay for. I have used a good few speed tests to verify and they are all on a par. I have even gone as far to format my hard drive in case there are conflicts, All I would like to know can I bring in my router to 14th Avenue and can somebody check it out for me, I am now desperate, I am a pensioner and make a bit of money to survive on the internet by buying and selling.
