My complaint is against Nashua Mobile head office. This is my story. In January I upgraded my contract and obtained a Blackberry Bold 9900. Since receiving the phone it continually turned itself off; re-booted and dropped calls. This became progressively worse and I eventually booked it in for a software upgrade. However, the day before I booked it in the screen got cracked by the speaker, nothing serious and LCD was working perfectly.

On April 23rd, 2013 I booked the phone in and explained about the problem. The fault description on the job card reads: "phone switches off on its own and restarts while on a call". I received a call from someone at Nashua explaining that the phone could not be repaired as the warranty fell away because of the cracked screen. I then explained that the phone just needed a software upgrade and the guy agreed.

On July 1st 2013 I noticed that my account for Nashua was a little more than it should be and went to the shop to get an explanation. I was informed that it was for the repair of the phone, the amount was R150.00. I then asked them as to whether they sorted the problem out and I was informed that I had been unreachable.
