No Internet after travelling 200 km to get devices

I currently have a closer 2 account. Last week I was called by a Telkom agent who offered an additional 5 gig data internet service together with my closer option for R399 per month. I signed up. The agent said that I can fetch my 3G dongle and a router for free at my nearest Telkom Direct shop. (The call was recorded) Therefore I had to travel 200 km (2 x 100km) to my nearest Mobile Direct shop. However, the lady in the shop insisted that I do not need a dongle, even after I told her that we don't have ADSL coverage in our town. She said the router is sufficient. Before I left, I once again asked her if she is sure my internet will work without a dongle and again she said yes. At home I asked an IT technician to install the system for me. He laughed and said that it won't work without a dongle. I called Telkom call centre today about the problem and they said that ms Poletsi will call me back today. Which did not happen. If this mess is my fault, I'll apologise, but if the dongle issue is Telkom's fault, I will NOT travel 200 km again. In that case it is only fair that Telkom bring the dongle to my house.
