Really Dissapointing Service

I went into Telkom Store in Centruion Mall on Thursday the 29/08/2013. I signed up for a simple ADSL Package R399.95 on a month to month basis. I was called 30 minutes later saying i need to pay R700 deposit which i did the same evening. The lady that helped me stated that it takes up to seven days to upgrade my line because i had an existing prepaid line. I was then sent an sms the next day stating that i should take my ID and collect the modem/router from the nearest telkom shop to continue with my self install. I collected the Router and received an sms with the password and user name. I went home friday night and struggled the whole night trying to connect the modem. Saturday i called 10210 only to find out that the line has not been upgraded. My problem is dont mind waiting but why sms the client and tell them to collect the router and send them a username and password when the line has not even been upgraded. It really does not make sense to send customers home with the equipment to continue with the installation when your part of it has not been completed as yet. Please can somebdy call me with some feedback urgently.
