Paying Double for bill

In 2005 after I stoped my Cell C account I received a bill for R650, and if I did not pay I will be blacklisted, so my mother went into ABSA, banked R650 into Cellc account and faxed the proof of payment.
NOW in 2013 the attorney phone me, Cell C handed me over for a bill not payed of R650 years back...
I dont have the proof anymore that I did pay this account, now due to bad admin work from cell c I have to pay this account twise or get black listed... So I have to suffer for someone elses slip up???

This is not right... unfair to me, I pay every month my bills and now this...

Pls cell c look into this because I dont have R650 to through in the wate
