Handed over account

I have been handed over by MTN without any communication from them. How can they not even warn me or something because they have my email address and my cellphone numbers?? I don't want to pay this of a debt collector. I owe MTN therefore I will pay MTN not sum attorneys. I want MTN to call me and resolve this issue. Just because I have financial problems doesn't mean I should be treated like dirt.
