Telkom denies No Service

So on the 12th of July 2013 our ADSL line goes off.By Sunday 14 July we call to find out what is going on just to find out that there is an area problem.

After a total of 5 days, many threats via Twitter and the Telkom call center our line is finally back up and running.

We are also told that due to the lack of service over the 5 days we will be reimbursed by Telkom for those days of no service.

When making the enquiry into the reimbursement we are now told that we were only off for 2 days and not 5 days. Worst of all is that Telkom does not carry any records of the actual faults that was reported. Thanks to their guys on Twitter they could supply us with the correct reference number that wa somehow non existent on Telkoms database.

We then get told by the lady handling the dispute that we HAD to phone Telkom everyday to basically report the problem for them to have records of each day we were without our ADSL services.

Why should we do that if Telkom told us they are working on the problem and it will take a few days? The fact of the matter is that we were never told to report in daily by anyone and now because there is a lack of competince
