Bad service delivery

I have a Cell phone contract, 0835549394, with Mtn. Summer Mobile contacted me for an upgrade and according to the system the handset has been upgraded on the 4th of July. I have not receive the handset. On query I was told that the handset was returned to the warehouse due to that they could not get hold of me. Nobody called me. I since then wanted to do a in store upgrade but I was told that they weren't able to assist me because of the "pending" upgrade and that they could only assist me if Summer Mobile and only Summer Mobile cancels the upgrade. I've managed to get through to Summer Mobile about two weeks ago to cancel the upgrade and I was told it takes 24 to 48 hours. The upgrade still shows pending and I'm been sent by Mtn a my own expense, time and effort to try and cancel this deal. Currently I'm paying for a service which I do not have and no-one at Mtn seems capable to assist me, I gets referred back to Summer Mobile as to that Mtn and Summer Mobile are not affiliated. I'm sitting with my hands in my hair not knowing where to from here.
