Network failure leads to R3500 account??

An official complaint will be lodged against vodacom based on their blatant disregard for the law and rights of customers under the Consumer Protection Act.

During the months of November and December Vodacom has admitted to having data network problems in the Gordons Bay / Strand / Somerset West areas due to an LTE switch over problem. They admitted this problem exists to the extent that they have credited my contractual fees for these months as their 'service was down.'

Despite this, they want to charge me over R 3000 for data usage in November... A month when they, themselves, have admitted to the network being down?

After 6 weeks of queries to call centres (10 calls in total) and 3 personal visits to the Customer Care Centre I finally received a call from their billing department today stating that they will not amend my November account, despite the fact that they were unable to deliver a service.

Should someone at vodacom with even the remotest level of authority wish to actually deal with a complaint and not merely hide behind a call centre, please do feel free to contact me on the number I have left with no less than 6 call centre agents over as many weeks.
