Around 29 July 2013 I logged a call on Telkom's website (ref nr: 87CTK290713) to report a pole in our yard that was falling down and cables that were just lying everywhere. On their website there is NO option to report something like this so I was forced to log it under another heading.

Within 24 hours I received a call to ask if my internet was working again, to which I replied that it was never faulty but that my fault description outlined that there was a Telkom pole that was busy falling down. The technician then asked if he could send someone to check. Of course I was at work and there was nobody to open for him so he asked me where in our yard the pole was. He said the call would be closed but that they would attend to it.

About a week later nothing has been done, so I decided to escalate the matter. No response.

We still have the Leaning Pole of Telkom in our yard, with two cables just lying on the ground. We are considering removing the whole thing ourselves, cables and all because this is unsightly, unsafe and unprofessional. Then they can close the call permanently since we would have done the job on their behalf.
