I have 2 contracts with vodacom. I upgraded one of them and and the other one was due on 1 August 2013. I contacted the Upgrade Centre to process my upgrade, but the handset that I wanted was on back-order. It is now 6 days later and the call centre's response is: They cannot do anything about it. Upon enquiry if they could give me discount on a slightly higher model (the difference being R70 per month) they just refused. The supervisor tried to help but nothing came from it.

There is apparently no one in the upgrade department that can authorize a discount unless a pay-in of R2000 is done. So much for great service from vodacom. They are able to get the handset from a Vodashop but then there will be a pay-in of R200. And all of this after I have been a faithful customer for several years and have recently upgraded one of my contracts to a higher subscription.

I think it is pathetic in the least to just shrug your shoulders and say: "well, we have to wait until it becomes available, whenever that may be"

They should be able to make a plan for crying in a bucket!

Disappointed!
