Quote for a repair that was not needed

I have been a loyal Vodacom customer for the past 7/8 years. I even still have my "082" number. But im sad to say that my current contract will be my last with Vodacom.

About 2 months my phone had a charge issue, took it to Canal Walk repairs and they fixed it.
Had the same issue last week, decided to take it to Tygervalley repairs... all of a sudden the phone had liquid damage... and the cause was my "sweaty palms". I was quoted R2864 to have my phone fixed as they needed to replace my LCD screen and the PC board. At this point i was already that they blamed my sweaty palms for causing the damage, i told them i will fetch the phone.
When i got the phone, i put it on charge and it is working 100%!
There is nothing wrong with the screen and everything else works fine. So why did Vodacom try and get R2864 from me when i've been so loyal for all these years?
