I had a contract that ended 28 Feb 2013. The number went over on prepaid on the 1st of March 2013. Last week I decided to take up a new Vodacom contract due to the worst experience I have ever encountered @ MTN . I contacted Vodacom via online chat and Gerswayn (Customer rep) assisted me with my new contract. 1 of my requirements was to transfer my old number (on my previous Vodacom contract which ended in Feb 2013) to the new contract. The system gave an error message due to the time duration of my old number on prepaid. According to Vodacom, a number which came from contract must be on prepaid for 6 months before it can be transferred back to contract again. He said that I will try to sort it out. All the voda shops I have phoned also said I have to wait for 6 months before I can used that old number. I logged online and started chatting to Gerswayn again. He said that I will phone Vodacom again and try to resolve this matter. After 30 min again he phoned me back and the number allocation was successful. Thanks Vodacom and Gerswayn for the great service I have received. Wish MTN had service like this. The rep was friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make me SMILE. Thanks
