Afrihost connections work but not Telkom's, why?

My account is at Telkom Internet and I have the 1Mbps ADSL.
Telkom checked the line quality which is good and also have reset the port.

Exactly since March 2013 I'm wasting GByte after GByte with Telkom's ADSL. No file
download can be finished. Always(!) the download stops randomly after some
time into the download.

The length of the files I'm trying to download are always between
100 and 200 MByte (definition files for AntiVirus progs).
The modem stays synched and still I can use the Internet as usual. And the
speed and throughput of the connection is perfect. Modem stats are good as well.

But if I login to my Afrihost account there are no problems at all with downloading
of files! It's the same line, modem and setup!

Since March of this year Telkom is vehemently refusing to solve their(!) problem
I have with them. Surely their "technicians" are at their wits' end.
They can't, or don't want to understand why the download of files works at Afrihost
but not if I'm connected to them.

This complaint is my last resort and hope!
