Simple tasks... Not so simple for Vodacom employees

Phoned Vodacom on 13 July 2013 to activate a cancellation on a contract on which I still had R730, and 2.5GB of data...

I still needed the data urgently for projects I am working on through the week where normal internet is not available.

Asked the call centre operator (Mpho) specifically to not stop the service until the end of the month. (30th)

Made sure the operator understood that the data and credit should not be taken off the account until the end of the month.

Nearing the end of the call I positively confirmed with Mpho that he understood that there should still be data and money left till the end of the month.

20 min after the phone call... All R730 and 2.5GB of data had been taken off the contract and the balance reflected R0.00 and 0.0MB of data...

Unfortunately Mpho was not available for comment and I was forcefully subjected to 45min of Gangnam Style and Katey Perry while being placed on hold for the next operator to try sort the problem out, which could not be done effectively...

I'm sure there is someone at Vodacom who can sort this out for me effectively... Please help, I need my data back urgently.
