MTN Data Roaming at > R1500 in 20 seconds

Data roaming costs more per second than our President can spend on Nkandla - MTN billed me R1 572 for 21 seconds of data roaming. The most expensive 20 seconds of my life... and I don't even remember it!!! What is ICASA doing - if this is a regulated industry what does an unregulated one look like?

MTN does not even tell me how much data I used in this 21 seconds. It seems they can bill you without providing the details. Where else can someone have this kind of pipeline straight into your bank account - all legally watertight and with no recourse!!! What a gravy train.

ICASA - just look at the number of complaints on this website. R70 000 bills!! SOME PROTECTION / RECOURSE / WARNINGS please. Why does a data rate not get sent to you with your roaming confirmation?
