Joined MTN on promo data package: R39pm for 500MB. Last month got billed R420 - which I can't afford. So asked them to cap my data usage but they said they can't. Asked them if I can change over to a Top Up contract and the call centre sent me to a store.
Asked store to change over to Top Up, so they called the call centre to find out (CAN YOU SEE THE IRONY HERE?!) Store tells me they'd call me back to let me know. They don't. Meanwhile I receive a bill in post stating I'm paying R49 PM even though I joined on the R39 PM promo. So I call the call centre again, they don't know about that, but tells be that I now have an additional 2 GIG R149 PM data contract with them. I've never even MENTIONED anything of the sort to the store OR call centre, NEVERMIND SIGNING anything to give them permission to do that. Call centre says it was authorized at Parow Centre MTN store. I ask them to sort it out, but he just impatiently tells me to go to the store to sort it out. WORST SERVICE EVER! Now - on top of sorting out the change over to top up AND the R49 instead of 39 PM, I now have to convince MTN that I never opened or gave my permission to open a 2 GIG data contract! I'M DISGUSTED!
